    Mental performance coaching, measured.

Stop guessing what's mental. Take the Free 5-Question Scorecard to see your pressure-response pattern, get a Full Mental Performance Profile, then book a Review for a private next-step recommendation.

    Key takeaways

    • A mental performance coach trains how an athlete or team responds under pressure — focus, composure, confidence, communication — using assessment data rather than generic motivation.
    • A mental performance coach is not a therapist or a licensed psychologist; clinical concerns are referred out.
    • IBE's path is the same for everyone: free Scorecard, Full Mental Performance Profile, then a review conversation about the next step.
    • The work applies to individual athletes, full rosters, coaching staffs, and the parents supporting them.

    Stop guessing what's mental.

Most athletes do not have a focus problem or a confidence problem. They have a pressure-response problem — and no objective way to see it. IBE solves that with one process: Scorecard → Identify → Pathway → Build → Apply → Track → Reassess.

    Scorecard & Identify

    Reveal the pattern pressure exposes.

    Pathway & Build

Identify what matters most and train that first — tools and routines for that specific gap.

    Apply & Track

Execute under competition pressure, then review what changed.

    Execution

The pre-play routine that turns preparation into performance.

    About the coach

IBE Performance is led by founder Philip Coffman, a mental performance coach with graduate-level sport psychology specialization coursework and years of experience across youth, high school, and college athletes. IBE is coach-led mental performance training, not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or clinical treatment.

    Performance training, not clinical care

    Frequently asked

What is a mental performance coach?+

A mental performance coach trains the skills behind competitive performance — confidence, focus, composure, coachability, communication, and execution under pressure. IBE is a coach-led, assessment-driven system: we measure first, then train the specific gaps the data exposes.

How is IBE different from a sports psychologist?+

Sports psychologists provide clinical and licensed mental-health services. IBE is mental performance training — not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or clinical treatment. If clinical concerns appear during our work, we refer to a licensed provider.

Do you work with athletes in any sport?+

Yes. IBE is built around mental performance skills that transfer across sports — individual and team, youth through college. The assessment and training tools are sport-agnostic by design.

What ages do you work with?+

Youth, high school, and college athletes. Parents typically initiate the work for younger athletes; older athletes usually start on their own.

How long does the assessment take?+

The Free 5-Question Scorecard takes about a minute. The Full Mental Performance Profile (48 questions) takes about 6–8 minutes. You get a result you can act on the same day. There's no payment to start.

    What happens after the assessment?+

You receive a Full Profile that explains your pressure-response pattern, the highest-leverage gap to train first, and a recommended next step. From there, you can book a Review to walk through it together.

    What is a results session?+

A 1:1 session where your coach walks through your Full Profile, explains what the data means in competition, and gives you a private next-step recommendation. It is coaching, not therapy.

    Do you work with teams?+

Yes. Teams get a season-long system with individual development plans and team-level reporting for coaches.

A results session turns your two lowest areas into a plan you can actually train.
