For parents of competitive athletes

Help your athlete without coaching them.

You're not their coach. You're not their therapist. But you're the one in the car after the game. The Parent Companion gives you the language, the support cues, and the progress signals to back what they're already working on — without ever crossing into their private work.

    Privacy is the product

What you see. What you don't.

    What you see

    • Monthly highlight of what your athlete is working on
    • Shared language to talk about the mental side of their game
    • Support cues — how to help without coaching
    • Progress signals over time (never private answers)

    What you never see

    • Your athlete's raw scorecard answers
    • Their private reflections or journals
    • Anything they've marked private with their coach
    • Anything the athlete hasn't explicitly chosen to share

Trust between athlete and system is what makes the training work. The Companion is designed to protect it.

What your athlete is actually doing

The same 7-stage system your athlete is running.

So when they say 'I'm in the Build stage' or 'I just hit a reassessment,' you know exactly what they mean.

    1. 01

      Scorecard

Start with the free IBE scorecard. Reveal what pressure exposes — confidence, focus, composure, communication.

    2. 02

      Identify

Surface the highest-risk gap. Not a label — a measurable pattern in how you (or your team) respond.

    3. 03

      Pathway

A training pathway is built against the specific gap. No generic playbooks.

    4. 04

      Build

Weekly reps, routines, scripts, and reflection prompts install the skill the gap exposed.

    5. 05

      Apply

Execute under real pressure — practice, games, scrimmages, leadership moments, adversity.

    6. 06

      Track

Log reps and reflections. Coaches, captains, or parents can see progress signals without raw answers.

    7. 07

      Reassess

Reassessments produce a delta — what moved, what didn't, what to train next.

A training system, not a quick fix. Assessment first. Training second. Execute under pressure.

The first 90 days as a parent

What you'll witness — without intruding.

    1. 01

      First 30 days

Baseline scorecard complete. You receive a parent-facing summary: where they stand, what they're working on, how to support.

    2. 02

      Days 31–60

First reset routines and confidence reps build. You see the language they're using so you can mirror it at home.

    3. 03

      Days 61–90

First reassessment delta. You see what moved without seeing the private work it took to move it.

    Supporting your athlete

Help your athlete apply the review — without adding pressure.

Parent support is recommended after the athlete's review when appropriate. You see what helps you help — never their private answers.

    • Monthly highlight of what your athlete is working on
    • Shared language to talk about the mental side of their game
    • Support cues — how to help without coaching
    • Progress signals over time (never private answers)

    Common parent questions

    What parents ask first.

Will my athlete know I have the Companion?

Yes — by design. The Companion only activates when the athlete consents. It is never hidden from them.

    Is this therapy or counseling?

No. IBE Performance is coaching and education for performance — not therapy, counseling, or clinical care.

    Do I see their score?

You see progress signals and direction of change. You don't see specific answers or domain-level private notes.

What if my athlete doesn't want me to have it?

Then don't add it. The training works without the Companion. We'd rather the athlete trust the system than have a parent dashboard.
